 Mist Obscured Sun.

After yesterday's successful use of the mist as a solar filter, I had another go today and caught a nice sunspot as well! EOS 300d with 300mm Canon Lens, mounted on Velbon tripod. ISO 100, 1/1000 sec,  F11, WB set to auto. Taken at 09:30.

Terrible transparency!

EOS 300d  with 300mm Canon Lens, mounted on 'Armstrong hand mount, manually tracked. ISO 100, 1/640 sec,  F9, WB set to auto. Taken at 08:40.

 Partial Solar Eclipse 03/10/05.

EOS 300d  with 2 x Barlow Lens on Skywatcher 80mm Refractor mounted on EQ3. ISO 800, 1/800 sec,  WB set to auto. Taken at 10:39 BST from Chichester in West Sussex. I was on holiday in Hampshire and had to drive East for half an hour to get away from the complete cloud cover!

Average transparency.

 The Sun. Having constructed a solar filter using Baader Solarfilm, I took this shot one lunchtime in less than perfect conditions - taken during a small gap in the extensive cloud cover! I was delighted to have captured my first sunspots!
